Dinner Meeting
Join us for a two-part educational event focused on strengthening your grazing systems and building pasture resiliency through expert insight and hands-on learning.
The event begins on Friday evening with a dinner meeting at West Liberty Christian Church, where Dr. Amanda Grev, University of Maryland Extension Specialist in Forage and Pasture, will present an overview of essential grazing and forage management topics. This session will set the stage for the hands-on Grazing Field Day on Saturday, where those same concepts will be demonstrated and applied in the field.
Saturday’s Grazing Field Day will focus on practical strategies to improve pasture productivity and grazing success. Dr. Grev will lead in-depth discussions and field demonstrations on how to enhance forage stands, implement rotational grazing, and build drought-resilient systems.
She will be joined by Walter Veselka, owner of Drone Assist Services, who will showcase how drone technology can support pasture monitoring and forage assessments—helping producers make smarter, more efficient management decisions.
Key Topics Covered:
-Drought Resiliency
-Forage Stand Improvement
-Rotational Grazing Systems
-Efficient Water System Design
-Drone Technology in Pasture Management
Whether you're just starting out or looking to fine-tune your grazing practices, this event will provide valuable insights, tools, and connections to take home.
NPCD will provide dinner on Friday and lunch and drinks on Saturday!
Please register by October 2nd for both events! There is a $10 registration fee per person.
